This is part 2 of an ongoing series about what I regard to be "Perfect Songs." A perfect song is not necessarily a great song or one of the best songs, though they often are. A perfect song is one that is the best version of what it could be and where I feel the artist accomplished exactly what they set out to do. I am not a musician and the entirety of my music training consists of music class in kindergarten through sixth grade and choir my sophomore year in high school (plus a church children’s choir, but I’d rather not discuss that).
